Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, General Azeez Ahmed pays a courtesy call on the Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal.
At the meeting held in the headquarters of MNDF, Ban’daara Koshi, strengthening the historical military bond between both countries were discussed in addition to discussions of attaining additional training opportunities for MNDF personnel in Bangladesh and procurement of equipment required by the Maldivian military.
General Aziz also called on the Honorable Minister of Defense, Uza. Mariya Ahmed Didi today. Additionally, MNDF Medical Corps was gifted with PPE kits by the Bangladesh Army today. Sending additional medical teams to assist MNDF in the national covid response effort was also discussed.
Bond between Maldives and Bangladesh has always been firm with various acts of aid by Bangladesh. Military ship carrying 100 tons of good inclusive of grain, fruits, vegetables, and medical equipment were sent by Bangladesh to Maldives as means of relief from the situation of Covid-19. A team of Bangladesh medical experts continue their administration in Maldives with further provision of medical facilities.
Attendees at the meeting held between Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, General Azeez Ahmed and Chief of Defense Force included General Officers of MNDF, Corps Commandants of MNDF and J Staffs.
