Ceremony held for oath taking and assigning of firearms to the 67th basic training course batch.

Ceremony for oath taking and assigning of firearms to those who completed the 67th basic training course has been held tonight.  

Guest of honor at the special ceremony held at Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi was President of Maldives and the Commander in Chief of MNDF, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

At the ceremony held, the oath for the 67th batch was administered by Uz Ali Naseer.

While the firearms were handed over by President of Maldives and the Commander in Chief of MNDF, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, the pre declaration before the assigning of firearms was made by the Commanding Officer of MNDF the Basic School, Major Mohamed Nilam. Firearms assigning was followed by national anthem of Maldives performed by MNDF band of MNDF Arts and Ceremonial Services.

Both President of Maldives and the Commander in Chief of MNDF, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdullah Shamaal spoke at the ceremony held.

Amongst the total pass outs of 80, 67th basic training course includes 7 females and 73 males.

Basic course is conducted with the purpose of enlightening and educating the newly recruited in the work field of MNDF. The course targets that all its pass outs are well mannered, obedient, physically fit, educated, love their nation, and acquire basic level skills.
