24-hour Coast Guard Fleet Run 2021 has successfully concluded

“Fleet Run 2021” organized by MNDF Coast Guard for a duration of consecutive 24 hours in celebration of the 56th Independence Day of Maldives has successfully concluded.

Guest of honor at the commencing ceremony of “Fleet Run 2021” held at Hulhumale’ yesterday was Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi.

Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdullah Shamaal, Vice Chief of Defense Force, Brigadier General AbdulRaheem AbdulLatheef, Commandant of Coast Guard, Colonel Mohamed Saleem, as well as General Officers of MNDF physically took part in the run which was welcoming all personnel of MNDF.

200 participants at the run ran a total distance of 1292.5 kilometers. Running 46.5 kilometers, sailor of Coast Guard Ship Shaheed Ali, Private Mohamed Sibah Ibrahim was awarded runner of the fleet.

This run organized by initiative of Coast Guard Fleet in celebration of the 56th Independence Day of Maldives is with purpose of rejuvenating motivation and solidifying bond between sailors of Coast Guard.
