Graduation for the 9th Coast Guard Basic Diving Course has been held. Personnel of foreign military took part in the course held on international standards.
Guest of honor at the ceremony held at Ban’daara Koshi in conclusion of the course organized by MNDF College of Defence and Security Studies, and MNDF Coast Guard, was Minister of Defence, Mariya Ahmed Didi. While the prize winners were awarded by the hand of Defence Minister, Chief of Defence Force, Major General Abdullah Shamaal handed the badge and certificate to the graduates. Certificates for the course instructors were handed by Vice Chief of Defence Force, Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef.
Best overall student at the course held in Girifushi Training Center for a duration of 3 months starting the date 15th August, was Corporal Ahmed Azmee. Fittest Diver was awarded Lance Corporal Hassan Sameeh and best in course merit was awarded to Lance Corporal Aiham Mohamed. Best Foreign Diver was awarded to Private Santhosh Bahandhari of Nepal Military.
A total of 25 participants graduated the course held by MNDF on English medium. The course had 7 foreign participants including those of Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh Military.
