MNDF have concluded projects conducted in achieving welfare advancement and expansion of operational capability

A ceremony has been held in celebration of concluding projects conducted in achieving welfare advancement and expanding operational capability of MNDF.

Guest of honor at the ceremony held at Kalaaseenu Koshi on 1st April was Minister of Defence Uza Mariya Ahmed Didi. Defence Minister as well as Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdullah Shamaal addressed the attendees of the ceremony.

Several projects have been managed in the past days in achieving welfare advancement and expansion of operational capability of MNDF. These projects include building a mess hall, kitchen, and a futsal ground at the newly inaugurated Kalaaseenu Koshi, establishing operations centers at both MNDF Central Area Command and MNDF Southern Area Command, accommodation facilities at Ban’daara Koshi for personnel of Special Protection Group, and refit works of Coast Guard Ship Ghaazee.

At the ceremony held, all these completed projects were inaugurated by Minster of Defence and Chief of Defence Force. Amongst the projects managed, inauguration of operations centers established at MNDF Central Area Command and MNDF Southern Area Command as well as inauguration of barracks built to accommodate personnel of Special Protection Group were held virtually.

A presentation dedicated to the refit project of Coast Guard Ship Ghaazee was presented at the ceremony. Moreover, Minister of Defence inspected a vehicle belonging to MNDF Ordnance Service.

Attendees at the ceremony included Minister of Defence Uza Mariya Ahmed Didi, Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdullah Shamaal, Vice Chief of Defence Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, general officers, commanders of MNDF units, senior officers, and Sergeant Major of MNDF, Command Sergeant Major Adnan Ali.
