Bilateral Exercise, "Exercise Ekatha 2023" held by MNDF alongside the Indian Navy at MNDF Central Area Command has successfully concluded.
Guest of honor of the closing ceremony held on July 2nd at the Headquarters of MNDF Central Area Command, L.Kahdhoo was Commandant of MNDF Coast Guard, Brigadier General Ibrahim Hilmy.
At the ceremony held to mark the conclusion of the exercise held from June 4th to July 2nd, Brigadier General Ibrahim Hilmy was the one to hand certificates to the training team of the Indian Navy while the Deputy Commissioner assigned from India to Maldives, Shri Mayank Singh handed the certificates to the sailors of MNDF Coast Guard that took part in the exercise. Team leader of Indian Navy training team, Lieutenant Commander Sorab Malik conferred the overview report of the exercise.
Exercise taken part by the sailors of MNDF and marine commandos of Indian Navy focused on firing, explosive demolition, diving, rebreather diving, and competitive self defence techniques.
Attendees at the ceremony included Deputy Commander of MNDF Central Area Command, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Faseeh, Defence Advisor from India to Maldives, Captain Mahesh C. Moudgil, officers of Central Area Command, and officers of MNDF Coast Guard.
