Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Nadheem Ibrahim joined the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) in 2000.

Prior to his current appointment, Lieutenant Colonel Nadheem has also held the appointment of Director of the Department of International Defence Cooperation and Policies of Ministry of Defence, Deputy Commander of MNDF Fire & Rescue Service, Director of MNDF Non-Commissioned Officers Academy, Assistant to the Commanding Officer of Fire & Rescue Training School, and various other positions at the MNDF Fire & Rescue Service.

Lieutenant Colonel Nadheem holds a Master of Science Degree in Emergency Planning and Management from Coventry University in UK and an honors degree in Fire Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire in UK. He is also a graduate of the Luis F. Garland Fire Academy at Goodfellow Airforce Base in Texas, USA. He has completed short trainings and attended seminars and workshops on Chemical Safety, Urban Search & Rescue, Disaster Management, Media Dynamics and Advance Security Cooperation in USA, China, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Qatar, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.

During his 20 years of service, Lieutenant Colonel Nadheem has been awarded the 17th SAARC Summit Medal, Minivan Fansaahuge Medal, Long Service Ribbon, Dedicated Service Ribbon, Defence Force Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon 3, Special Duty Ribbon, Achievement Ribbon and Ribbon of Skill.

Lieutenant Colonel Nadheem is married and blessed with 2 sons.
